Hi guys and gals :)

I picked myself up a nikon d5000 today and love it.

Im wondering if anyone has any must have accessories to get the best out of it?????

I'm starting out with photography and currently have the standard lens and a 70-300 tamron lens.

Oh and a tripod (got it today)

I was thinking of a macro lens next! Any recommended ones? I dont have hundreds to spend so a fairly budget one would do me for a good while I think!

Thanks for any ideas

I have a D5000 currently.

DX Lenses
AF-S 10-24mm
AF-S 35mm f/1.8
AF-S 55-200mm

SB-400 Flash

I've played with a macro lens before and they are a lot of fun. If you only have the kit lens...I'd recommend picking up the $200 35mm f/1.8 to start with as you can shoot in very low light with it.

If you shoot a lot at the wide end (18mm) of the kit lens, the 10-24mm lens is great but expensive at $800. You can't use the built in flash with it because of the size of the lens so you'll have the pick up at least the SB-400. I prefer it because of its size and weight to the SB-600.

I've never seen a bad macro lens, and you might not even be worried about autofocus. I have the 50mm f/2.8 sigma and it's nice enough optically, but its working distance is quite small.
