We all know that by default Apple disables its Nitro engine for UIWebViews. Its what Chrome and other (non-safari) browsers have to use. Is there a tweak that will enable the faster engine in these views?

It's hard to say. I've seen a lot of talk about this on twitter today since google released chrome for ios. If a tweak will ever come out for this feature I assume we'll hear about it soon now that chrome came out. But if it's possible, I'm not sure why it hasn't already been released since there are some fantastic 3rd party browsers that could have used this tweak. I'd follow the big name devs on twitter. If it makes that much of a noticeable difference then I hope someone figures out a solution. But I've also read that the speed improvement gained by nitro is negligible and in real world settings, you can't notice any tangible speed enhancements.

Honestly, I've noticed the largest difference in browsing speed using a browser that supports AdBlock, like Mercury.
