To accomodate your nMP Aesthetically Crucial has went ahead and ditched the green PCB and went with a black PCB. I contacted crucial and they said there 16gb dimms have the Black PCB. However he did not know the colors on the 4gb and 8gb dimms.

I doubt it was done to accommodate the aesthetics of something that can not be seen when in use. I could see Apple doing something like this but not a third party manufacture.

Common PCB colors I have seen are green, black, white, red, blue, and yellow.

crucial's mac line had notoriously been green up until now. they do make ballstixs and other ram in other colors. but then all of a sudden they start offering black apple ram when apples new machine is being showcased hundreds and thousands of times in videos and pictures with its hood popped off? coincidence? no.

We might see modified cover with transparency.

White PCB? Never seen that before!

cookie cutter answer from someone who doesn't know.

+1 for the silliest thread in the forum.

I can't believe that the color of internal components that you cannot see when the system is running concerns people.

What's next, demanding that the fonts on the chips and cards match Apple's marketing fonts?

If you have nMP, please send it to me to do some colorware artwork internally. XD

+1 for font matching

It's not a silly thread. Why not get matching RAM? We like Apple products because of the attention to detail, don't we?

I actually wrote OWC to see if they could get black RAM sticks for the nMP but got a "no" back.
