Well this is a big disappointment for all of us wanting a 32GB iphone, oh well... next time...

SO Glad I just picked up a 16GB refurb with a METAL back for $349 last month!!!!!!!

No camera upgrade either !! They are ONLY interested in enterprise business now.

They'll get there, probably in time for the holiday shopping season. I'll keep my money in my pocket until then. Shame, but c'est la pomme.

A bit disappointing. I'd gladly pay $400 or $500 for it.

But whatever, I just basically traded my used 8GB iPhone for a new 16GB 3G with GPS. :)

Why? The new 16GB 3G/GPS is $299.

I think Apple *could* have done a 32GB, but Steve said one of their primary goals was making it more affordable. I guarantee you that they'll get more customers by keeping 8/16GB capacities and dropping the price than they would by making it 16/32GB.

prolly see it in november, looks like 16 for me :(

yeah, that's most likely. Around that time was when they released the 16 gig.

My folk'll prolly like the 8 gig, since they don't have much music and plan to use it mostly for calendar stuff. But with all my music, movies, and TV shows, I'm most likely going to just wait till the 32 gig rolls around.

IF you browse all day IN a 3G area and like a GPS scaled down - GO AHEAD, wait for it!
No camera update, no added memory, plastic back- believe me I'm not the only one whom will love Gen 1 iPhones.
AND, with tax(that I didn't pay on the refurb) The "NEW" 16GB will cost about $325 anyways..

Of course there's no 32 gb version. Where do you expect them to cram in an extra 16 gb chip with GPS and 3G now in there? I mean really, get some realistic expectations and you won't feel so silly afterwards.
