Hi, I've got a 5G issue I'm hoping someone here will know the answer to.......

I've got an iPhone 12 Pro today, I use the eSIM for my work line (on O2) and a physical SIM for my personal line (Vodafone).

The options for 5G are greyed out, and a note under the setting says "5G is not available when in Dual SIM mode."

I have spoken to Vodafone and they are saying this is a restriction with Apple and not something the UK networks can control.

Does anyone here have the same problem, are there any workarounds?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, I've decided to upgrade my personal Vodafone number to a 5G tariff and going to switch back to using 2 devices until the update comes out.

This was never a feature advertised for the U.S. model.
So they advertise a phone that’s capable of 5G and also capable of using two sims but if you decide to use two active sims 5g doesn’t work.

Apple also advertises dual camera systems with dual optical image stabilization. It doesn’t mean two lenses can record at 4K at the same time.

But you only record one video at a time and if that video is in 4K it’s still working as advertised. How do you record two videos in 4K at the same time?

I have a phone that says 5G capable but I can’t use 5G at the moment.

Apps allow you to record using more than one camera at a time, just not in 4K.

You can use 5G if you have 5G service.
