iPhone 12 Pro No 5G Option On Att?

AT&T iPhone 12 - Don't Have 5G as a Dropdown Option in Settings?

Anyone else seeing this? My son just got his iPhone 12 Pro. Going to Cellular > Voice & Data it offers LTE and 4G but does not offer 5G. We have the AT&T Unlimited Plus plan. We spoke to AT&T just now and they say everything looks fine on their end. Help.

You are probably on an older plan that AT&T annoyingly decided not to give 5G to. You must be on their newer Unlimited Elite Starter or Extra plan.

yes, that was it. I did save a few bucks by switching plans. Sadly for where I live 5g is no faster than LTE.

Straight scrubs honestly. They pull this crap with every thing they do. The Android world is even worse with them. IMO there should be no difference in these phones, software wise. ATT can take a long walk off a short pier. At least that is what I'd say if I was Apple.

No 5G option on my All New 5G iPhone Pro with 5G....now, with 5G!!

********. ATT. Unlimited elite. Tried the "refresh connection", reinsert sim, restart phone, rain dance, 5g dance....nothing. Bunch a ****.

What am I doing wrong? I don’t even see “Voice & Data” under the Cellular menu to see if I’m set to 5G. SIM card inserted, making calls fine.

Resolved! I put my old iPhone X sim in and I was getting LTE and 4g...

NOW:

I put the SIM card, its all white, that came inside of the Iphone 12 pro I ordered from ATT and I went to www.att.com/getstarted and I activated that new SIM card. Once I activated the SIM card, I turned off and on my phone and now I have the options of 5G...

I did this as well...thanks for the tip.
But the display on my previous phone showed lte, 4g, or whatever, but this one shows nothing but service bars.
I wonder if there is a way to see exactly what service your're on
 
So my wife just got her 12 Pro Max yesterday. She is on business plan through her work. She activated her new SIM card which came with the phone via ATT website. she doesn't have 5G option under Cellular. Any ideas?
