No 5s Pre-Orders, How Serious are these Lines

I've noticed that some people are camping out in front of Apple stores 1-2 weeks ahead of the 20th. How serious are these lines in small towns? I live in a small town and we've got a Sprint store and an Apple store at a local mall. Will these stores not get a shipment in while all available product goes to the larger stores? What are the chances of Sprint having the 5s on the 20th?

I don't know about Sprint, but last year I bought a iPhone 5 at my local Verizon store on release day. So Apple does give carriers some phones on release day.
