This happened on my MacBook Pro a few days ago. Out of the blue, no wifi, nor did connecting by Ethernet to my router/modem help things. I've seen suggestions in other places that this can be remedied in Terminal and I followed this route but without success. I just typed in a command in code pressed return and then waited. And waited. Did I maybe goof? Is there a better way to restore the Airport or is there the Airport in need of repair/replacement?
Thanks for all and any suggestions.

Follow these instructions. They might be able to tell you more. Also what model MBP do you have?

Thanks, I ran the Apple Hardware Test and it declared no problems found. My MacBook Pro is a 15" 2011 model, running 10.6.8, spec:2.4 Ghz, Intel core i5. Should I return to the Terminal approach then?
Cheers,
