Ever since the firmware update I haven't seen the Apple glow on my Intel iMac. If I put it to sleep the power light pulses, but otherwise no lights. I tried to 'chat' with Apple help, but that is quite the experience.

There is no apple light on the iMac. Only on laptops. The firmware had nothing to do with it. There is the power light, (lower left corner, pulses), and the apple logo (center, bottom). That does not have a light.

I'm sorry. I must have been mistaken. I thought the new iMac (Intel) had a glowing Apple. My bad.

LOL :D Makes me wonder what you were on when you "saw" the glowing Apple logo on your iMac. ;) :D .....Just kidding. :)

But it would be nice if the Apple logo would glow on the iMac. :)

Yeah, but it would have to glow blue, as on iBooks. It would be ugly on the MacMini and PowerMac though!:D

no light - on indicator

What really bothers me is when I switch on the imac there is no click and once its on theres no way of knowing that its on until the screen pops alive + when mine is asleep I cant see any indicator - so basically I dont know whether Ive managed to engage the on switch and atother times whether its on or off!

I want an indicater! should have made the apple logo glow!! or somthing!

Otherwise - quite loving this work of art imac!

Wow, I'd love to see a fluorescent blue Apple logo on my iMac. That'd rule. In fact, one on each side of my new Mac Pro would rock even more!

And as this is the Mac Pro forum, you're a little out of place, man.:p
