so i went to apple.com and i went to go check out the new macbooks, i clicked on the blackbook, and i started to customize it and it asked me if i wanted an apple remote with it, and i was like huh?!?! i bought the last version of the macbook last christmas and it came with an apple remote. so with the new updated mac notebooks are they charging you for an apple remote?

heres the link http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...9084001/wo/445hvB8jevht2W3UEh61oCcH4y2/9.?p=0

Yep, they are shipping without...

the remote. I just got my BlackBook 2.4 250GB HDD on Wednesday, and that's the first thing I had to ADD to my purchase. It was $21.74 OTD, but if you have an one at home, you can set it up for your new MacBook by pressing the Menu & FF buttons at the same time with the remote held about 4" - 6" from the MacBook until the Music - Movies Screen appears on your screen.

Which shows how much you use it... This is exactly why they are not including them anymore, not everyone needs one or uses one so it's a waste.

Gadzooks! You beat me to it. That's exactly what I was going to say. ;)

I got one with my iMac, and one with my Blackbook, and have used them a total of 1 time just to check it out.

i also use in for Keynote, when i do presentations at school. Other wise, i don't move it. I have 3, One unwrapped, one wrapped in plastic, and one still in the plastic sleeve thing. :apple:

I actually use mine all the time. I set my computer on my desk by my bed and when I go to lay down I listen to podcasts and I use the remote to change the volume, skip around etc. Its great so I can keep my lazy butt in bed!

When I buy a new book I'm gonna keep my old remote when I sell my old book.
