Recently I switched iPhones from an iPhone that was paired with my Apple Watch series 6. This morning I discovered that the watch was NOT paired with my current IPHONE.

Messed around with several attempts to pair it without success. Finally I decided to erase the Apple Watch from my phone and reinstall it. That did work and I was able to pair the 2 together.

However I don't see the Apple Watch icon displayed on the watch unless I go to the App Library where it is displayed in "recently added" apps. Wondering how I can get it to display on my normal page displays on my iphone? At the moment, I'm afraid to try to download the Watch app again for fear that I will have to then go through the lengthly pairing routine again.

From the App Library, tap and hold on the icon until it wiggles and then drag it to the location you want it on your regular Home Screen.

Worked like a charm! Thanks! Didn't know I could drag icons out of the App Library as I thought they were all duplicated on the other screens.
