No audio Final Cut express

Hey everyone, im at school editing a video for them using final cut express, I can play the audio back through the mac pros internal speaker, but when I switch to the line out speakers, I can hear sound in every program except final cut express. Why cant I hear my audio through the Line out in final cut express while every other program works with it, and why does final cut only work with my internal mac pro speaker?

I have experienced this... man I wish I could remember what I had to do.. I think there's a menu dropdown somewhere that lets you change the audio output. Sorry I'm not near my mac right now... ( thereby making my post pretty worthless ), but at least it you should know that it's possible to do what you want.
