I accidentally deleted a few days of video recording from a vacation and found the files on an external drive that I use for time machine. The only problem is, when I restore those files, or import them using iMovie, there is no audio.

I restored another file, and that file is the same size as the original with audio. So the information has to be there right? Please help!!

Thanks!

I think I have discovered my problem. Time machine is not backing up the "iMovie waveforms" file. So no audio was backed up. What good is time machine if it doesn't back up everything?
