I have a 5.1 mac pro 10.8.3 that I just upgraded with a new EVGA 680 GTX Mac edition. I have 2 Apple cinema displays connected to the DVI ports via Atlona DVI - minidisplay port converters...those all work fine.
My problem:
I have the HDMI port (on the 680 GTX) connected to a Samsung LCD tv and the picture looks fine on the TV...but there is no sound via HDMI on the TV? When I look at sys pref and sound settings on the MP...there is no HDMI output to select for sound. My choices are: left ACD, right ACD, digital out, line out, and internal speakers. There is no HDMI????
What I've tried:
1) I have tried selecting every setting in the sound settings with no luck.
2) SMP reset and PRAM reset.
3) Reboot
I'm out of ideas and not sure if audio through HDMI will even work on the EVGA 680 GTX?
Thanks in advance
