No Audio - What Codecs Do I Need?

I have an AVI file that when opened with VLC, displays video but no audio. When opened with QuickTime, I am able to view properties, but if I press play, QuickTime freezes and has to be Force Quit. The same goes for Quick Look - it freezes also. I have Perian 1.2 installed along with these other components:

What codec would I need to produce audio with this file?

Thanks for the link, installing now. Also just realized that VLC was not up to date, so I'm updating that to see if it helps.

UPDATE: Still no sound.

It was a torrent that I downloaded. I get good video in VLC, just no audio. My fear is that perhaps this file is only compatible with Windows software.

If VLC don't play it I would guess it's a bad file...

Alright. I guess I'll try to find another download link for the video in a different format. Thanks for the help everybody.
