I have Mac Pro (version 2009) and I am currently receiving no internal or external sound.
There are no internal computer chimes when the computer is restarted.

The input and output tabs in the Sound window only list the following devices: Soundflower (2ch) and Soundflower (64ch). After repairing and verifying disk permissions, the end message is: "The volume appears to be OK."

External speakers are connected to the computer via the headphones jack.
But the external speakers are not acknowledged within the Sound window.

Thanks for any tips on how to troubleshoot internal and external sound on the Mac Pro 2009.
