No 'Automatically set up account' option in Mail.app 4.3

For a day or two a few weeks ago mail.app stopped working with my Gmail POP server so I setup the account again and it worked but now its using IMAP and has a very annoying Googlemail.com section. How can I manually set up the account? Editing the info in the existing account doesnt work. I annotated some pictures to show the problem.

File > Add Account

When it asks for your email and password, put in your email address but give it the wrong password and it should give you the screen to choose the server type.

No it just tells me the password is wrong next to a little exclamation mark, no option to do anything.

I messed around until it got bored 'looking for mail servers' and it gave me the option to manually set it up! Yay im happy now thanks.
