Guys,

I have no clue why badges option has been discontinued on iPhone iOS while they still reside on iPad. I’m running seed betas for both and for at least 5-8 developer betas I no longer have badges capability on the iPhone.

Very frustrating.

Can someone please explain the thought process on this?

It shows on mine. Also have the banners option, which I also don't see on your phone.
I'm on 16.0.2.

Maybe try rebooting the phone? Or, check your settings in Customize Notifications on the bottom.

It can’t be fixed on my phone. I’ve investigated what you suggested but there is no choice to change it. It’s been like this for every developer beta I’ve installed for iOS 16 beta. It is very frustrating because I’m not a developer but I have been invited to the seed program because I send many many detailed feedbacks to apple but no one from apple has ever responded. Every beta I tell them my issue has not been fixed….but no one responds. I upgraded to the new iPhone 14 pro max……thinking it will be resolved…..I’ve forced quit….I’ve done everything that I can think of but the badges option remains absent from my notifications screen per my post. I dont want to start from scratch as a new phone for obvious reasons.

That's really weird.

Have you tried deleting the Mail app, force-quit Settings, reboot the phone and redownload Mail from the App Store?

Ok, the person who replied to delete the mail app and reinstall it…….that solved the issue. Thank you.
