no bootable device

Hi there.

I have recently obtained a copy of windows 7 and wish to install it on my mac. I have run bootcamp, partioned the drive but when i put the disc in the drive and click run windows installer the system restarts and after a few seconds of the white screen i get the black screen message: 'no bootable device- insert disc and press any key.'

I have checked the disc and all the appropriate files seem to be there.

Any ideas?

btw this if for a macbook pro 2.4ghz intel 2 core duo 4gb 1067MHz DDR3 on OS X 10.6.8
