No Buttons Work?

I was using my iPhone 5 the entire day today and 5 minutes ago, none of the buttons worked. I was texting and went to reply to a msg and tried to press the home bottom and it didn't respond. I tried pushing the lock and volume buttons and nothing was responding :mad:

I held lock & home to restart the phone and now it works. Any idea why this happened? :confused:
