No buzz for Diaspora?

Diaspora the upcoming social network site - supposed to offer you ways of controlling how you direct your information. I like the sound of it, I don't have Facebook, or Myspace or any of that - mainly because I know what will happen - too different groups of people coming together, and I don't really want to share everything with all of them.

Even Zuckerburg was supposed to have donated money to get it going, but the lack of noise about it is a bit worrying. Anyone heard of it?

There seems to be too many social networks, so its understandable that this is not getting that much buzz. Even the mighty and powerful google was unable to make a successful go at a social network

I plan to hop on it from day 1. I have been reading a lot about it over at mashable.
