i picked up a new 13" MBP. It worked like normal for a couple days, barely used though. Now I get it out and I have no click on the trackpad. Tap to click works and I can move the curser around, but a press does nothing, I didn't see anything it setting, but I don't feel any click either which I thought I did before but could be wrong.

Am I missing something? Or did I get a lemon?

That does not sound right. Call Apple support to troubleshoot and, if necessary, request replacement before 14 days pass (14 day clock starts from date of purchase).

Well, the new ones don't have physically moving trackpads anymore since they use the whole force touch deal. You may want to go to system preferences and check the settings on the trackpad. If it is set to click and it isn't, it could be the Taptic Engine not working properly assuming it isn't a software problem. Then yes, take it in.

I don't see anything in the settings, I think I'll take it in just to be safe. Thanks for confirming I'm not just doing something stupid
