I didn't get an option to buy it no commitment, even though I have a contract w/ ATT. Sales through the 1-800 number are closed. I'll try to talk to them in the morning. I tried the hack too, but must not work with pre-orders.
Ok, so if you click pre-order and then on the bottom right it says FAQ (spelled out) and you click: "Is a new contract with ATT...." it says: Additionally, the Apple Retail Store offers a no-commitment iPhone for the full retail price.
So unless I can get something through the phone tomorrow, it looks like us non commitment people are gonna be camping out out out Apple Stores.
