No contract AT&T iPhone + Early Termination

I was wondering if anyone has bought the iPhone + on contract and then did the early termination fee to get out. At the moment I want to not d0 the contract but I already preordered. I asked apple and ATT if I can just return and then buy it again at full price no contract and they won't do it. I am still sticking with ATT which is why its so dumb they can't do it.

I figure with the Early termination fee of $325 and the subsidized price it actually comes out to about $80 cheaper then buying the +128gb unlocked. I can then just add it to my mobile share plan.

Does anyone have any experience with doing this, even past iPhones?

Why don't you just do the Next plan.. And when you actually get the phone, pay off the remaining balance?

Hmmmm, I didn't think of that. But when I was talking to the rep he said next would be more, but I guess thats depending on the remaining balance. Can you pay of the remaining balance as soon as you get it and then its $15 per line?
