No Contract iPhone 6 from T-Mobile: How to keep my number if I don't have a nano SIM?

Hi everybody!
I've been reading here but never actually asked a question.

I am going to preorder the T-Mobile iPhone 6. I currently use an iPhone 4s which does have a mini SIM, but not a nano SIM (which is the one used for the iPhone 6).

I want to keep my current number. How do I set up my phone using my current number if my current SIM card does not fit my new phone? I know T-Mobile can do this at a store for me, but I would like to avoid going there on launch day.
