No credit card - buy online?

Hello,

I currently don't have a credit card due to having to change banks. I am right in thinking that the online Apple Store won't allow a debit card?

I'm in Canada and my nearest Apple Store is 5 hours away and I'd really like to pre-order on Friday.

Is there anything I can do?

You can make purchases online using a debit card. It's not recommended in the US due to fraud liability.

You can use your debit card online.

If the debit card has a Visa/Master Card logo you should be ok.

You can use cash to buy a visa gift card. To use a gift card online, you would then need to register the gift card with your address. Then use the same address when purchasing the watch online.

I'm pretty sure you can't use a debit card in the Canadain Online Apple Store so I guess this wouldn't work either.

A visa gift card is a credit card, not a debit card

A Visa or Mastercard Debit Card should work just fine. I'm using my Visa Prepaid card for instance.

I have to do that too. Although Scotia bank told me I have to do it after midnight on Friday since they can only lift the limit for 24 hrs.

Op: Most Canadian banks have visa debit. I have used it before with Apple and it works. You can also get a prepaid credit card. I know scotiabank has one.
