no date showing?

hello at the top rh corner of my screen i can see the day and time but it is not showing say 01 aug ?
i have clicked on date and time but can not see how to get the system to show 01 aug,any ideas please?

Click the time and you'll get the date as a drop down menu!

Another non mod option is the iCal icon in your dock! By default it should be there, if it isnt, drag it in your dock from the Applications folder! It changes its icon every day to reflect the time!

If you have to have date in your menubar, google "Mac OS X date in menubar" and you'll find a ton of options! Get what suits you the best!

I would actually recommend istats which can give you more detailed options and will allow you to display system stats on the bar as well
