Help please!

My macbook wont download files anymore. I tried a shareware download manager and when the trial expired I dragged the app to the trash. After that I was unable to download anything. I have tried both Firefox and Safari. Did I do something wrong?

I am fairly new to mac, this is my first. Any help is appreciated!

Try downloading something and tell us what happens.

Here's a photo. I want you to use Safari, right-click on it and select "Save Image to 'Downloads'". If it works, the image should save to your Downloads folder.

(You do know how to right-click, yes? Use two fingers on the trackpad.)

I was able to right click the photos just fine, however, I am still unable to download stuff from links.

I bet it's a safari plugin that thinks the program is still there.

I'm in bootcamp and so my directions might be off, but it should be somewhere under User_Name/Library/Safari/Plugins or ~Library/Safari/Plugins
It might be under library/application support/safari/plugins

basically you're looking for a safari plugin folder that has a file name that looks like it works with the download manager you had installed, and delete that.

See this is why Apple NEEDS to add an uninstaller to their OS!

But this happens with Safari or Firefox. Do they use the same plugin?
