So basically i installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on boot camp on my imac using lion and it wont let me access the internet specifically on windows. I have an ethernet cord plugged in for mac but it just wont work on windows. does anyone know a driver or setting i need to install. any help would help cause im kinda new to windows as it is

Download the bootcamp drivers with the bootcamp assistant in osx and quit the assistant (you don't need to repartition the drive since you have already done that). After that, copy the bootcamp drivers into a usb stick and boot back to windows. You should now be able to install the bootcamp drivers from that usb stick.
