Wow, this was unexpected. My husband's plain phone has 4 bars, iphone4 has one. Called apple, they told me that the "smart"phone (iphone) is using a weaker network. Not such a smart phone then, huh?
Tried turning off the 3G same result.
Was told not to hold the bottom right corner.
Then I was told that the bars mean nothing. They are having cases of too many bars, but not less bars showing.
I asked about the bumper, but he said since I have a case on it I should be good. All they are doing is trying to keep the 1 percent affected from touching the bottom right corner. He even told me that he can put a "kung fu" grip on his and he still gets service.
Then he suggested that I return the phone if I do not like it. So, they can't fix the problem and now they are telling people to go to another phone. And all I wanted was to get my problem on record so when the 'fix" comes out I will get it.
Guess they are getting tired of issues, because now they are blaming customers for not holding the phone right and expecting that bars mean service
