No edit on Calendar, what happened?

I run an iPhone 5s, with the latest iOS.
Of late I cannot edit calendar entries. I can create, but cannot alter or get rid of any entry. There use to be, as I remember, an "edit" marker, touch that an one could edit the entry.

Have a lost a bit of my iOS here? Is there a solution?
