I've just looked at the educational store (via uni network) and while the rest of the Mac range enjoy discounts, the new iMac doesn't:

Air - £849 vs £729.60
MBP - £999 vs £859.20
Mini - £499 vs £448.80
Pro - £2049 vs 1720.80
iMac - £1099 vs £1099

Hopefully it will change once they are configurable and ready for pre-order.
