They removed the eject button on the keyboard. Other than ejecting from the finder window, is there an easier way of ejecting a disk from the super drive?

Drag it to the trash can, or "right-click" the icon (two-finger click) and select Eject from the contextual menu. AnandTech chalked it up to Apple's drive to eradicate the world of optical drives. They don't expect people to be buying the external SuperDrive much anymore.

I was hoping for a Thunderbolt SuperDrive for using Handbrake.

Apple won't release anything like that... And I doubt there is a lot of demand for a thunderbolt SuperDrive. You'd have more luck with a blu ray burner, but that'll still be ridiculously expensive.
