And USB-A, micro SD, VGA…. Just joking but seriously why disturbing the sleek and simple design of two TB on each side?. I have a MBP16 and it’s great to charge on any of the ports. Need something weird to plug?, ok just a 20$ dongle did the trick for ocasional HDMI.

Dongles suck. They're annoying to buy, they're more annoying to keep track of.
In reality, I like Apple bringing back certain ports.

At the same time, I'd have been perfectly fine if Apple could have kept 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports and just made their own sleek looking docking system so people wouldn't have to rely on shoddy 3rd party solutions.

I mean, Micro SD can go into SD card slots with these cars adapters that everyone with both SD and Micro SD cards have loads of and you can still charge through all the USB-C ports. Ports are functional, and this layout is functional. You overall get more I/O. Yes, it's one fewer USB-C/TB port, but you get MagSafe so you don't need one for charging, you get separate display out and SD and maintain the headphone port. The port situation is almost ideal IMO

There are some confusing things in my opinion. M1 family are low thermals, very rare situations fans run and they justify for that a 2012 outdated thick design?. I expected something much more elegant from Apple not a bulky laptop with ancient ports.

Hopefully in future some MacBook Air 16 M2 would bring back elegant design.

I have 1 gb internet and thinking of upgrading to 3 gb, I would love have a 10 gbe ethernet port built into the power brick just like the iMac, then I thought it will never happen, as they ship with a MagSafe cable now, I don't think it carries data. I guess dongle it is....
