I have an iPhone 3G that I disassembled to put a different colored housing on. When the disassemble and reassemble was complete the phone turned back on and worked just like it had before. But then I noticed when the phone rang, or I tried to play music, or recieve a text message no sound would come out of the speakers.

if you plug external speakers or headphones to the iphone there is sound, just no sound on the iphone's external speakers

Does anyone know what I might have done wrong during the disassemble/reassemble of the phone that might have caused this?

p.s. I have tried replacing the dock/speaker/mic component in the phone which did not change a thing
