No files visible on external NTFS drive?

I recently got a Iomega 160gb external hdd, and put some movies and music on it (ntfs 4k clusters). When I plug in the drive on my UMBP, I see no files. Mac OSX sees the drive, but lists no files. Strange thing is, when I open disk utility on my MBP, the drive is seen as a HFS volume. Incorrect, because I can read/write files from and to it on Vista (NTFS). I even tried removing any partitions and recreating them. Same behaviour. Very strange.

Any idea why?
