You've got to be kidding me! I just switched to mac and used to use chrome and had access to my gmail and calendar offline due to google gears, but I just saw that GOOGLE gears does not support GOOGLE chrome on the mac, yet supports firefox/etc....seriously?? That's crazy

Is there a workaround, or do i have to stop using chrome?

Hi,

I'm not sure I know the answer to your particular problem, but I do know that Gears is being phased out by Google in favour of HTML 5 offline storage.

So you may not have long to wait before you can start using Chrome again.

Thanks. yeah, I've heard about that, but it seems crazy that in the interim (however long that may be), there is no access.

So then if I want offline access to gmail and gcal, do I need to switch to firefox, or is there some other way to get this?
