I've researched this via google and while some people think they know, I know they can'be right. I love on a lake. Was taking photos with ipad2 wifi only... There are no wifi signals out on the lake. To my amazement, the map in photos showed points on the lake where each photo was taken. Wild!

Ok I get the ip to show you at home, or wifi showing router position, but showing the actual point in the yard at home? Or on the lake? Not possible via ip. No wifi out there... One other thing... All points and my location of my home/router show up on the map about. 500 ft. To far north. It's accurate to each other, but its always shown 500ft north.... As if the map has to come down about 1 inch. Is there a way to calibrate this?

Still I'm amazed that it works as well as it does. But how?
