No green dot on Apple Watch charger

In 2008 apple started to put green dots on all of their iphone USB power adaters (link).
My friend's apple watch USB power adapters all have green dots on them, but the adapter that came with the watch I bought last week doesn't.
Has apple started to go away from this green dot, or do I some how have a old and faulty adapter?

Im pretty sure that after 7 years they decided to do away with the green dot. More likely they're mixed from older ones your freinds got (still with green dot) and newer ones (no green dot) that you got.

Its absence isn't new, I think going back to the iPhone 5s. The original ones without the green dot were faulty.

Why do they do this? the green dots are gone in Europe for a couple of years btw.
 
What is this green dot you speak of? I thought you were talking about a prepaid debit card for a second.

My Watch charger came with a green dot. My historic iphones, and ipods up to the iP6 did not come with the green dot though.

That does it for me! Who the hell is Apple to presume I want the green dot? I'm taking the watch back!....jk
 
I started with the iPod Nano 2G and the 3Gs after it. Never ever saw a green dot on any of my chargers. Is this kinda important?

It's not about the green dot, it's about my charger possibly being faulty and catching on fire. Now I don't think that's the case, and it looks like apple has been phasing them out, but it's the first time in 7 years that I've had and apple usb power adapter with out it.
 
I have three (older) ones with green dots and two (newer) ones without. They lack the greed dot, but they gained the Apple logo. :apple:
