I have a Unibody Macbook running Leopard 10.5.8. I have enabled file sharing though AFP, allowing guests to read only. However, when trying to access this share on any other Leopard mac, it will successfully connect to the computer as "guest" but it will not show the files I shared. So no shares (including the public folder) though AFP are shown on other Macs when they try to access my Mac though the finder. However, if I entered my account username and password, the other Macs will have full access to my files.

I am not sure if this is part of the cause, but I accidentally deleted my public folder share a long time ago. So rather than it saying "Jesse's Public Folder," it just says "Public." Even disabling the firewall does not resolve the issue. This seems to be a direct issue with my user account because when I create a new account as suggested by tech support, the file sharing works perfectly. This issue does not only go for the Public folder, but for any folder I would like to share. So I cannot share other folders such as "Documents" though guest access on other Macs on my network.

I have been searching Google and Macrumors, but I have not had any luck with this issue. Even tech support is stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Thank you.
