No haptic feedback from iPhone app notifications

Apps that have no dedicated watch apps such as Snapchat give me no haptic feedback when I get a notification on my watch. Does this happen to anyone else?

I was getting that with Whatsapp, checked the notification settings for the app in the iPhone notifications and it was set to no sound, turned it on and it not only added sound and haptic but actually displayed the notification (before it was dropping in my notification in box without any wanring)

I tried that and no success, i don't want sound on either.
