No HD Videos on Youtube

Hey there,

my Macbook Air (haswell) with mavericks doesn't play hd videos on youtube.

No matter if I use Safari or Chrome. The videos continue to play in SD when I choose 720p oder 1080p.

Do somebody know a solution?

Try joining the HTML5 version of Youtube.

My problem is once I up the quality it crashes the video
