How can a notebook not have a standard headphone jack? Maybe I'm missing something here. I should not have to go out and spend $100 on wireless headphones when my $10 sony earbuds work fine. I can't believe the way these companies are thinking by omitting valuable peripherals. Wow, I'm just in shock.

Right side has a headphone jack.

Oh my bad. I just thought the only port was the new USB 2C connector. A moderator can close this thread.

They showed it on the Apple event. I'm sure one of the live blogs has a photo. So many people are thinking no headphone jack because of the way Apple worded the USB-C connector as one port for everything, but there is a headphone jack.

So, good bye to all those Logitech mouses with old USB connector?

OR

Are they working on something to compliment the old users?

The headphone port can be seen in the "glamour shot" on the MacRumors story about the new MacBook: https://www.macrumors.com/2015/03/09/apple-new-macbook-2015/

(The "Space Gray" one on the right shows the headphone port.)

Its a Headphone-C port. it will work like a normal headphone port if you buy the $29 adapter :p
