I was waiting for recent MBP update shure to see 13" Macbook Air's hi-res screen on new 2011 13" Macbook Pro...

Well, things gone in a different way. :)

In your opinion, is it a good choice to buy now a 2011 13" Macbook Pro with the low-res standard screen?

I'm a journalist and I'll use it most of the time at home linked to a 27" Apple Cinema Display. I don't need so much power, just light Photoshop sessions and a lot of writing, but I need a lot of working space to see at the same time one or two Safari windows and Pages to write.

So, 13" Macbook Pro + 27" Apple Cinema Display would be a good choice for my needs?

Thank you for any advice or opinion, and sorry for my crappy English. ;)

If you're using the external display I don't see why not. It's got the power minus graphics.

Sounds like a good setup to me.

Why would you want a high res macbook pro if you're going to be hooking it up to a 27" ACD?

Get it as it is now, the resolution is fine imo. Go to an apple store just to test it out to make sure you're fine with it as well. The 2011 macbook pro 13" is a very fine computer.

Thanks to all of you for the advices.

I'll go for a high end 2011 13" MBP with 8 GB of RAM and 27" ACD.
