Recently on the new A4K TV, I am not seeing the DV and Dolby Atmos icons being displayed when I scroll down with the remote. It shows 4K and most of the time it shows Dolby Atmos, but it doesn't show 4K, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos at the same time. Sometimes it displays DV but not Dolby Atmos. It does this on Netflix and HBO Max, so far. I have tried restarting, and disconnecting the HDMI, and that doesn't work. I haven't tried doing a reset though, last resort. It is playing back in DV and Dolby Atmos because it displays when I hit display on my TV. and yes I'm sure the films are equipped with DV and DA. This is a new issue. I have a compatible HDMI cable, I have tried a 48Gb and an 18Gb and they both are not showing all the icons. Any help or experience with this would be appreciated. I have the 15.5 update, which I hoped would resolve this, but it didn't. I called Apple, and not much help there, they said it was Netflix, but I doubt that. I am just wanting to find out what the cause is. Thanks

Are both apps updated to the latest versions?
However if they’re playing back in 4K DV and Atmos then why worry about some icons you only see on a swipe down, just sit back and enjoy.

That's what I'm doing Gonzo, but my gripe is if you pay $200 for an Apple streaming device, I'd like it to perform as it should. If you remember, when this device first came out it wasn't displaying 4K, everything was showing up in HD. Then an update fixed the issue. Yes, Everything is updated, something I always check.

I agree with @Gonzo, the importasnt thing is that the ATV 4K is providing both DV and DA to your TV. The ATV 4K interface was probably updated or had a bug introduced, but that is merely a cosmetic issue. It might also be that the content owner didn't supply all the information to be displayed.

I agree the ATV 4K should work better than it does. The last two years or so Apple has let bug infestations take over many of their OSes and FWs. They probably need to fire a few, or several, software managers, and get rid of the programmers who turn out sloppy work.

So the issue is only with 3rd party apps apparently. With a content that does not stream from Apple ecosystem in the first place.
So I do not see how could tvOS update fix any of this?
I can see, that both TV+ app and Computers app (on my own local content) show those icons (4K, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos) properly. Hence I think tvOS is getting them right.
But the Netflix app streams and gets meta from their own backend, so their formats and metadata content can be very different.

Another issue on Netflix is that in Dolby Atmos movies, on occasion, the audio cuts out for several seconds, then it will come back on. If you hit the pause button while there's no audio, the sound will come back. I let Apple know about this too, long ago, and it was good for a while, but it creeps back.

Apparently tvOS 15.6 may resolve that issue, according to a post elsewhere some on the beta are saying it’s fixed.
I cannot confirm myself, it’s just what I’ve read.

That”s what I see with my own library file in Computers app

Just wondering if you’d be able to tell me where you obtained the Amaze trailer as I’ve only been able to find a 1080p version?
Don’t remember anymore, but that one is from LG with sound by Dolby and image by LG. Not even close to what Dolby has created.
