No images on Forum Spy

This happens to me at least once every few days ... does anyone know what might cause it?

There is nothing wrong with my connection, and other images on the site load fine. It's just the ones from Forum Spy.

I suspect the server with the "First Post" icon is slow/busy/off-line.

I experience this issue occasionally. I have no idea about what causes it though.

That's why I'm trying to figure out if it is a server issue, or maybe something else.

How long does it usually last? For me, it stays like that for a good hour or longer.

Perhaps you should take up bushwalking or birdwatching or something r.j.s.

Oh that is a bit more odd then. I've seen the images server freak out momentarily before and not display images but it's really rare. When it happens again try it in a different browser just to see if it's an issue isolated to safari, if you haven't done that already.

I think I tried FF a long time ago, but I'm not sure. Next time it starts I'll check again. If it was momentary, then it wouldn't bother me, but the fact that it is persistent is what is really annoying. I've quit safari, closed the MB, left the room, came back later and it was still doing it at times.

For me, it's not every image, just those related to the spy. Maybe it has something to do with the scripting used?

I would agree with that as the place it happens most for me are sites such as myspace, a lot of scripts are used for the pictures on there. So maybe Safari has a bug with some web scripts?

You might be onto something there. On my powerbook sometimes javascript (I think javascript is the culprit anyway) goes nuts and forum spy stops working for me entirely. I have to restart the computer to make it work again but it works every time. Try a reboot and see if it sorts it.
