I cannot receive any calls at anytime when I have email enabled. The calls go directly to voicemail, always!

someone on another forum suggested that it was due to the nature of edge networks (on which I am currently)

Calls will go to voicemail only if data is in the process of being transferred at the same time. Simply having Push enabled will not cause this to happen all of the time.

This is not specific to the iPhone - the EDGE standard doesn't allow for enough bandwidth for voice and data transfer at the same time, so data use on any phone on EDGE will send calls to voicemail.

but why would push notification be hogging the connection all the time? I didn't receive any new email during the time I tested it. And I thought that this was a bug in the 2.0.X firmwares, not the 3.0.

Besides deleting all of my accounts or turning off push, what can I do to stop the calls from always going to voicemail?
