hey guys,

i am having this weird internet connection issue. dont know how to fix it. basically my internet does not work on Safari, iTunes (only http requests does not work). all the https requests works. This also include the software update feature; it says: "Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, then try again" I did the Network Diagnostic, and no issues. Renewed my IP/DNS no issues. http & https websites works fine on Firefox. Adium works fine.

I had Glimmer Blocker installed, and this issue started happening after I uninstalled Glimmer Blocker (properly from the System Preferences Pane) and restarted the system.

my system: osx 10.5.6
no firewall
dhcp setup

any help/suggestions/comments towards helping me very much appreciated! :)

thank you!

EDIT:
ISSUE FIXED. WEB PROXY WAS ENABLED to localhost:8228. DISBLED IT, and IT WORKS FINE!
