Anyone else with this issue?

When my 2012 mini or 2013 MBA is used after sleep I don't get a net connection immediately. Safari will sit there connecting for about 30 seconds before I have access again. I have full signal during this time to my AirportExtreme. Its just really annoying when you want to look something up quickly. Any ideas?

Try a few things:
  • Repair permissions in Disk Utility and reboot.
  • Reset PRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
  • Create a new user account, reboot, login into the new user account. Put the computer to sleep and see if the WiFi issue still happens.
  • Boot into safe mode (hold space-key while rebooting) and see if the issue still happens.

I had this same issue on my 2013 MBA on 10.10 and 10.10.1. Resetting PRAM would usually fix it temporarily, but it would always come back. I haven't had the problem since 10.10.2. What version are you running?
