Taiwan
They list China, Hong Kong, and about 68 other countries for the new 3g Iphone. What about Taiwan???? What is up with that? We are good enough to manufacture the Iphone (Foxcom), produce Apple motherboards, chips, and lcds (Asus, Chimei, AUO, etc etc), but we are not worthy for the Iphone? Seriously Steve I have been waiting years to legally buy an Iphone. When will it come to Taiwan?

Agreed, it doesn't really make any sense.

Keep in mind, I think "China" only really means "Hong Kong". Negotiations seem to continue with China Mobile, but with Taiwan it seems everything is up in the air. Given the Island's 5-6 carriers are all GSM, seem to me they could go the way of Australia and offer considerable consumer carrier choice.

That's another question: why does Australia have multi-carrier deals where as everywhere else doesn't ?
